हनुमान जी का श्लोक

Shri Hanuman shloka

मनोजवं मारुततुल्यवेगं जितेन्द्रियं बुद्धिमतां वरिष्ठम्।

वातात्मजं वानरयूथमुख्यं श्रीरामदूतम् शरणं प्रपद्ये।।

अर्थ :-

“मनोजवं मारुततुल्यवेगं” – जिनकी चाल तेज है वे प्रभु श्रीराम के दूत हनुमान जी के समान तेज हैं, “जितेन्द्रियं” – जिनका इंद्रियों पर पूरा नियंत्रण है, “बुद्धिमतां वरिष्ठम्” – जो बुद्धिमानों के श्रेष्ठ हैं, “वातात्मजं” – हनुमान जी, जो पवनपुत्र हैं, “वानरयूथमुख्यं” – वानरों के यूथ के मुख्य हैं, “श्रीरामदूतम्” – श्रीराम के दूत हैं, “शरणं प्रपद्ये” – मैं उनकी शरण में आता हूँ।

इस श्लोक में हनुमान जी की महानता और उनके प्रभु श्रीराम के सेवक के रूप में उनके भक्ति का महत्व बताया गया है।

Manojavam Marutatulyavegam,
Jitendriyam Buddhimatam Varishtha,
Vatatmajam Vanarayuthamukhyam,
Shreeramadutam sharanam prapadhye.

Meaning:-

“I take refuge in Sri Rama’s messenger, Hanuman, who is swift as the mind and as swift as the wind, who has control over his senses, who is the wisest among the wise, who is the son of Vayu (the wind god), and who is the chief of the monkey army.”

This verse from the Sundarkand of the Ramayana extols the greatness of Hanuman, emphasizing his qualities of swiftness, wisdom, and devotion to Lord Rama. It expresses the poet’s reverence for Hanuman and his unwavering dedication to Lord Rama.
